Hi, I’m Liv. If you’re looking for beautiful, timeless, love-filled photographs which reflect your family just as they are, I’m here for you.
I’m a mum of two and trust me - I get it. Motherhood is beautiful, full of love and a wonderful adventure but it can also be chaotic, overwhelming and sometimes frustrating (the toddler “I do it” stage, anyone?) I had my children 17 months apart so for a long time, life was about nappies, double buggies and a pretty complex nap schedule; I was always doing something for someone, rarely came up for air and juggled that with a full time teaching job. Why am I telling you this? Hopefully it’ll help put your mind at ease that honestly there’s very little that will surprise me during your session. Cluster-feeding newborn? Teething older baby? Strong-willed toddler? Older child who wants to go off and do their own thing? Dad who has been dragged along reluctantly? Don’t worry - my sessions are child-led, focus on your family interacting with each other rather than a fixed list of static poses and should hopefully feel like a beautiful core memory once you’ve left. I’ve got tricks up my sleeves for most situations that might crop up - you’re in good hands.
For over a decade, I worked as a teacher, first in junior schools and later in a specialist setting. I was passionate about my teaching career but it just wasn’t family friendly so after having to miss one too many sports days, open mornings and show-and-tells, I took the leap into a photography career and haven’t looked back. My experience as a teacher often comes in handy during sessions and I love that I can now work with children but in a way that also allows me to be there for my own two when they need me.
I offer maternity, newborn and baby milestone sessions in a dedicated space in my home in the SP1 area of Salisbury which is set up to provide just the right light and space for your session. There are no intimidating flashes, umbrellas or complicated set-ups; just a beautifully large window and pared-back space which allows your family to be the full focus.
For families with older children, I offer sessions in hand-picked, tried-and-tested locations around Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset including the beach, woodland, countryside and the New Forest. I choose locations where we have plenty of space to follow the light as the sun sets so that you can spend a fun hour playing, laughing and making memories while I capture it all on camera.
