My hope is that your shoot will feel like visiting a friend, in fact many of my clients come from word of mouth after people have enjoyed their session and recommended me to people they know! We’ll take our time, chat about anything and everything and all the while, I’ll give you gentle direction and guidance so that together we can create images of your baby’s first home that you can treasure. If you have a Pinterest board of the kind of images you’re dreaming of, I’m here for it! Equally, if being in front of the camera feels a little scary, leave it to me and I’ll guide you through the session and you’ll leave with photos you can’t quite believe are you.

I have a carefully curated client wardrobe of items you can borrow to wear for your shoot if you would like; not only does this help to reduce the cost for you but my pieces are tried and tested and sure to make you look and feel wonderful. Whether you want maxi dresses with your arms covered; a top and bottom set which we can position to show your bump; a sheer robe to highlight your shape without feeling too exposed; or relaxed pieces that can be buttoned up or left open; I’ve got it all. And of course your own options are always so welcome, whether that’s a beautiful lingerie set, jeans and a crop top or an item that has a special meaning to you. There’s time for several outfit changes in your session so that your gallery has variety.

Maternity sessions can be held outdoors or indoors. Indoor sessions are in my dedicated studio space which is perfect if you want soft light, no risk of the wind blowing your hair and especially if you want a guaranteed session date. An outdoor session might be for you if you have a special place that you’d love to capture in your images or perhaps you’re going to be pregnant in spring/summer/autumn and want a gallery of images in that perfect golden hour light in the lead-up to sunset. Whether it’s the beach, the New Forest, the woods or a countryside location, I have many tried-and-tested spots to choose from.
