Fun-filled outdoor family sessions are perfect for families with children aged 4 months and over. An outdoor shoot is absolutely beautiful for maternity photos if you’re in your third trimester during spring, summer or autumn (or you’re happy to brave the cold in winter!).

Outdoor sessions give you the kind of space that we just can’t get during an indoor session and we will always use a few different, carefully selected spots during your session to give you beautiful variety within your gallery of memories. What could be better than spending an hour in the fresh air in a stunning location with the people you love most in the world where the main focus is just spending time together with no agenda other than having fun?

  • MY APPROACH

    My hope is that your shoot will feel like spending an evening with a friend, in fact many of my clients come from word of mouth after people have enjoyed their session and recommended me to people they know! We’ll take our time, chat and play and all the while, I’ll give you gentle direction and guidance so that together we can create images that you can treasure. Play, laughter and love are the order of the day and in between those energy-filled moments I’ll also capture the more intimate moments of love and connection.

  • LIGHTING

    The key to getting the beautiful light you see in these photos is having the session at the right time of day; my outdoor sessions take place during “golden hour”, the hour before sunset, when the sun is lower in the sky and the light is at its most beautiful. As the sun sets at a different time throughout the year, the exact timing of your session will depend on the season. In the middle of the summer, usual bedtime routines might go out of the window while you play in the late evening sun but I can promise that it’ll be worth it! If you would prefer an earlier session, just book in for spring or autumn.

  • LOCATIONS

    I have a number of tried-and-tested locations for these shoots, including spots in the New Forest, at the beach, in the woods and in the countryside. Some locations will only be suitable at certain times of year so if you have a particular option in mind, get in contact and we can chat about what month would be best.

All sessions include:

  • A welcome guide to help you get ready.

  • Access to my client wardrobe - a carefully curated selection of clothes for mums

  • A fully edited gallery of 50+ images.

  • 10 images to download from your gallery and keep forever, with the option to upgrade if you would like more images and/or printed products.

Session cost: Mon - Thurs £300 / Fri - Sun £350

Your booking is secured with a £100 deposit, with the remainder of the session cost due the day before your session.
